 Engineers Australia is the official authority who is responsible for undertaking the Skill Assessment for Engineer who are willing to migrate to Australia as a skilled Engineer. Australia provide an opportunity for skilled and experienced candidate to live, study and work.

There are many open positions for competent employees in Australia's ICT and engineering sectors. As a result, EA allows you to display your skills and advance your career.

To successfully immigrate to Australia, candidates must go through the EA's competence evaluation procedure. Skill Assessment is a required step before submitting your visa application.

In the skill evaluation, EA will consider the applicant's educational qualifications, job experience, competence, skills, and knowledge. You have several options for assessing your migrating skills.

Pathway for Migration skill assessment

There are total six pathways for migration skill assessment defined by Engineer Australia.
1. Accredited Qualification
  • Australian Qualification
  • Washington Accord Qualification
  • Sydney Accord Qualification
  • Dublin Accord Qualification
  • Other recognized qualification
Accredited courses have been certified by legislation and professional authorities and have met the Australian standard. Among the certified qualifications are engineering certificates from Australia and other countries that have been acknowledged through official international agreements.

Accredited credentials lead to the professional qualification required in your sector or location of employment. Your degree's precise position and title might help you succeed in your chosen field. If you want a recognized credit-bearing certificate or diploma, you must enroll in an approved qualification. Engineering programs are classified into three levels: Professional Engineers, Engineering Technologists, and Engineering Associates.

2. Non Accredited Qualification
  •   CDR Report
Non-accredited courses are those that are not affiliated with any external accrediting or professional body. These classes are useful for developing new talents or honing existing ones.
Non-accredited courses are designed to provide students with particular information and skills, and they will assist you in improving your CV. Non-accredited credentials do not lead to professional job with prospective credentials; instead, certified credentials are required.

MSA accepts only credentials from Australia or nations that are full signatories to the Sydney, Dublin, and Washington Accords. For migration skills review, Engineers Australia (EA) asks foreign countries to submit a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR).
