What is the required length for CDR report?

Applicants must undergo competence evaluation in order to migrate to Australia as skilled professionals. Engineers Australia is in charge of the skill evaluation. Engineers Australia is the governmental body in charge of recruiting skilled foreigners to work in Australia. Engineers Australia assesses the skills of individuals who have sought for skilled migration.

EA needs a CDR report for skill evaluation since candidates are rated based on the project and abilities given in the CDR report. Engineering graduates who have finished their academic study at any approved institution are exempt from submitting a CDR report. Candidates who do not have accreditation from the Dublin, Sydney, or Washington agreements must submit a CDR report in the meantime.

We are already familiar with the CDR report and its need for engineers to migrate to Australia. Australia has paved a way for skilled migrants by creating different employment opportunities. The CDR report determines whether you are eligible for the positions available in Australia or not.

There are lots of cases of CDR reports being rejected. The major reason behind the rejection is usually failure in following the official guidelines provided by Engineers Australia. It is then led by incomplete report format or insufficient document submission. Apparently, applicants are confused about the next step due to this reason.

In this blog, we will be summarizing the basics of a CDR report writing and the optimal length required for each section of the CDR report in order to meet the EA standard.

A CDR report includes following section:
1. Career Episode:  A Career episode is the crucial document for CDR report. These career episode reports explain your engineering experience gained during your academic years and operational phase. The career episodes should focus on various engineering issues on which you have worked. You must explain how you applied for the engineering skills and knowledge required for the post you applied for.
In summary, a career episode should be minimum 1000-1500 words each.

2.  CPD report: CPD can help you stay relevant with developments in your engineering career. You should display your CPD as a table, including every element of your university education as well as any supplementary information. The CPD statement should be no more than 1500 words long and no more than one A4 piece of paper. To satisfy the official criteria, you must be precise and clear while writing CPD.

3. Summary Statement: The summary statement report assesses all three professional experiences. The CPD should be around 1500 words long. In the summary statement, your talent areas will be acknowledged with your career episodes.

In conclusion, a CDR report should be around 6000-6800 words. If you are still confused about writing CDR report, it is better to take professional guidance. You can learn more about CDR report actual length from here.
